Magic Type : Darkness

Spells, Descriptions of

Main Spells:
The main spells can be used without much use of body's stamina or magic. Used Freely. Drains nearly no energy.

Summon Beast: This spell could be put in any category really. The caster can summon anything from an imp to a dragon. Most housholds have an imp or two doing grunge work, since the imp is the most easy thing to summon. But if you are powerful enough, you can summon larger, and powerful things. If you wish to heal, get a pheonix. Kill, a Basilix. The spell drains the caster depending on how large the beast is. the rough percentage is 10% per square foot of monster. Then the added 25% to maintain it for as long as you wish, with it doing your will. So as you can see, only really powerful casters, or groups of csters, can summon really powerful beasts. Most people when they are born have a protector summoned for them. This tradition started recently, after the wars. Generally the protector is a small animal, that can morph into a beast by the owner applying a bit of magic. The animal can only change to one beast though.

Dark Cloud- Pretty obvious; the caster summons a particularly dark stormcloud that brings no rain. Used as a practical joke to send villagers scurrying for roofs, a convenient type of movable shade, a way to cover the moon for stealthy travel by night, or a good way to collect flowers that bloom in the dark.

Black Mist- a type of invisibility stunt. A type of dark fog covers the caster.

Death Spells:
Death spells are strictly forbidden outside of war. No matter the reason, if caught you will be sentenced to death. Drains all stamina and magic, leaving caster defenseless, unless very strong magic wielder. The only ones to use more then 3 of these spells in a row were Lucifer, Blade, Darius and the War Chief Captains. Rulers can cast 3 before left useless, and with mages present, 6. Some Rare cases of warriors being able to cast more then one exist, but they are rare, and a large bounty is on their heads.

There is a spell that has no one name; it has been described by some of the powerful light magicians as this; "This spell is almost a mind trick, the darkest of all wicked spells ever found; the caster seems to reach into their victim's very soul and bring every dark thought to light. The victim promptly goes mad, turning almost into a rabid animal, under no one's control. No cure has been found..." Nicknames for the spell are Blackheart, the Soul Wrench, and the Rabid Spell. Only the most powerful and wicked magicians of all time would use this spell.

Soul Control: This spell is considered more vile then the first. The caster uses it only if he is a hearless wretch. It will kill the victim slowly, keeping him/her alive by a thread of magic. THe caster then will use the victim as a puppet for his/her dark works. The victim will die only after his/her body fully decays. This spell will kill the caster unless he is a leader or has absorbed dozens of peoples magic. Shamans are known yo use this spell.

Healing Spells:
These spells are usually difficult to comprehend and use, and drain the amount of energy from the caster depending on how severely the victim was injured

Darkness Drain: Only useful for healing darkness spell-inflicted wounds; the caster drains dark magic from the victim. The caster is left feeling immensely drained, this will typically kill the caster.

Fighting Spells:
Used in self defense or for any other fighting needs

Dark Weapon Hone: The caster reinforces any weapon with a creeping mist of darkness that stings whatever the weapon touches.

Drain: One of the terrifying properties of darkness is that it absorbs whatever it touches. The caster hurls a concentrated shot of darkness at the victim. This shot sucks the victim's energy, leaving them exhausted. The caster, meanwhile, absorbs the energy they drained.

Dark Blast: Caster blasts a cloud of darkness at the enemy. The cloud stings and burns, and especially attacks the eyes. This drains a good deal of energy from the caster.

Dark Missiles: Caster concentrates dark magic in their hands, then can throw stinging, burning, or blinding spheres at their victims. Masters of dark magic feel no drain from this spell at all.

Shield Spells:

These spells enable the caster to defend himself from injury or give him a chance to escape. Uses a quarter of your energy; usually drains caster the rest of the way if used for a long time.

Dark Eye Strike- The caster strikes the victim temporarily or permanently blind. Darkness creeps over the victim's vision. Depending on how long the darkness over the eyes lasts, the caster will lose either an unnoticable amount of energy or feel extremely drained.

Dark Shield: A temporary "energy" shield erects itself in front of the caster. Takes little energy from the caster, but is a flimsy shield and will give way to a single melee or any kind of magic attack.

Note to Readers: These spells’ descriptions, and spells, are just scratching the surface of Darkness wielders’ power. There are many more unnamed spells, and the spells described so-far can be used in a completely different manner from the descriptions given. Just remember, all spells absorb energy, and eventually you will wear yourself out using any kind of spell. Never fully rely on magic, for it can let you down.
